ATLANTA, GA — November 2025
As the ongoing government shutdown continues to leave thousands of Georgia families struggling to put food on the table, civil rights attorney and community leader Gerald Griggs has joined forces with the grassroots organization We Feed The Block to bring hope and help to those most affected.
This partnership comes at a critical time, as SNAP and WIC benefits face temporary cuts, leaving many low-income households without the food assistance they rely on. In response, Griggs and We Feed The Block have launched a statewide effort to distribute food, hygiene items, and essential supplies to families in need.
“When government fails to meet the needs of the people, the community must rise,” said Griggs. “We’re not going to wait on Washington — we’re going to feed our neighbors and make sure no child goes hungry in Georgia.”
