Dear Atlanta NAACP Family, the City of Atlanta & supporters of the Atlanta NAACP
Thank you for the incredible honor of allowing me to serve as President of the Atlanta Branch of the NAACP. It has been a privilege to stand with you in the fight for justice, equity, and civil rights in one of the most historic and resilient cities in our movement.
To the City of Atlanta—thank you for your continued support, your activism, and your belief in the power of community. Your spirit and determination have inspired me every step of the way.
Now, as the branch enters a new chapter following the recent election, I will return to my sole role as President of the Georgia State Conference. I remain committed to supporting the work of the Atlanta Branch and all of our branches across the state as we continue this vital work together.
Please join me in congratulating David Means, the newly elected President of the Atlanta NAACP Branch. I’m confident he will lead with integrity, passion, and vision.
Thank you again for your trust, support, and partnership. The work continues—and together, we rise as the Atlanta NAACP.
In solidarity,
Gerald Griggs Sr.
President, Georgia State Conference NAACP
