GEORGIA NAACP PRESIDENT GERALD GRIGGS JOINED THE GWINNETT NAACP FOR ITS FREEDOM FUND

BUFORD, Ga. —The Gwinnett County Branch of the NAACP hosted its annual Freedom Fund Banquet Saturday night, bringing together community leaders, members, and supporters for an evening dedicated to justice, equity, and progress.


This year’s theme, “Standing Strong for Justice,” was reflected throughout the program, which featured inspiring performances and reflections on the ongoing fight for civil rights in Gwinnett County and beyond.


Several local leaders were honored for their contributions to education, advocacy, and service. Each honoree was recognized for advancing equity and uplifting the community through their work.


Gerald Griggs of the Georgia NAACP joined the Gwinnett County NAACP

Georgia NAACP President Gerald Griggs was also in attendance, offering his support for the Gwinnett Branch and commending its commitment to advancing the mission of the NAACP at the local level.


The banquet highlighted the importance of carrying forward the legacy of the civil rights movement while continuing to address present-day challenges.


Proceeds from the event will provide scholarships for local students and support the Gwinnett NAACP’s ongoing work in racial justice, voting rights, and economic empowerment.
