GEORGIA NAACP PRESIDENT VISITS EATONTON OVER JIMMY DAVIS PARK CONTROVERSY.

On Friday, Georgia NAACP President Gerald Griggs visited #EatontonGa located in #PutnamCounty to listen to the concerns of its citizens regarding the insufficient funding for the preservation of historic Jimmy Davis Park. Griggs eagerly anticipates further deliberation and measures to support and maintain the park adequately. I am committed to advocating for the equitable treatment of all communities.

Residents were concerned with the disrepair of the community center and the park, which services the African American Community in Eatonton, Ga. They planned more actions to raise awareness about the lack of substantial investment in public property. President Griggs agreed to monitor the situation and support efforts of the community to activate the Putnam County NAACP to address these concerns.
